ANewVisualIdentity

Phase I

Bordelle is proud to unveil phase I of the brand’s evolution with a new visual identity. A new logo typeface and monogram mark the start of a metamorphic journey, with a plan to represent a broader Bordelle world that may, one day, extend beyond the product categories of lingerie and bodywear.

Classical all-caps typography has been combined with minimalistic, graphic elements to evoke a timeless, contemporary feel designed to be current and long lasting to project Bordelle into the future. The more assertive, heavier typeface is reflective of the brand’s linear strap aesthetic, while the monogram, designed to be modelled into 24 carat gold plated signature components and other accessories is derived from a mélange and layering of the lettering in the label’s namesake. The makeover marks a key stage in Bordelle’s gradual transformation. The logo represents the new Bordelle and the first signal to our customers of what is to follow. Other cornerstones of this phase include a new website and social media look to be launched in conjunction with the new season.

The Moon Garden

For AW23 we continued to look skyward, exploring the moon, constellations and changing seasons. The collection was divided between two distinct ranges, bringing together key elements of Bordelle design while experimenting with innovative new shapes and functional components to create an array of multi-style pieces and layering bodywear.

Kora was inspired by the story of Persephone. Also known as Kora, the Goddess of Spring and Queen of the Underworld, she is personified by the constellation of Virgo in Greek mythology. The range contrasts heavy gold hardware with luxuriously soft mesh, creating an eclectic mix of wearable lingerie and daring outerwear styles. Structured panelling imitates armour, fitting for the strong and powerful goddess Persephone.

The Vita range takes its name from poet Vita Sackville-West, who designed the famous White Garden in Kent, England. Featuring a hand-drawn botanical design embroidered onto a recycled tulle, the collection is inspired by the unique concept of moon gardens and illustrates Moonflowers and Star Balsam flowers that reflect the moonlight and bloom at night.
